The columns and walls of the memorial are made of the red sandstone traditionally used in Weinheim. The figures and the end pieces are made of patinated bronze and rest on a 9 m stainless steel beam (15×10 cm) that is clad in bronze sheet. The group of figures measures 200×180 cm. The star on the square is made of red and gray gravel, kept in shape by steel guide rails.
